The 4 key decoration collaborations for the 2024 back-to-school season
Installing Zyva Studio for IKEA
Since September 12, 2024, IKEA has moved to Place d’Italie in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. For the inauguration of their new store and as part of the new edition of Paris Design Week, the Swedish brand invited the Zyva design studio founded by architect and designer Anthony Authié to explore its holistic vision of sleep. Why sleep? Because IKEA is convinced that if there is one thing that helps people better satisfy their needs and dreams, to surpass their limits and develop their imagination, it is sleep. Zyva Studio has therefore designed a faithful ephemeral installation that takes the form of a room that is not really one. More like a dream machine, a place of rest that activates the channels of the imagination or a refuge for the pensive… All blue, it plays on accumulation and takes up the codes of an obsessive architecture.
- From September 12 to 22 at the IKEA Italie Deux store, 30 avenue d’Italie, 75013 Paris.
The Mademoiselle Agnès x Maisons du Monde collaboration
Although she is better known in the fashion world for her keen sense of style and flair for trends, Mademoiselle Agnès is also a big fan of interior design. Proof that the lines are thin between fashion and decor, for the start of the school year, the presenter has teamed up with Maisons du Monde to compose a selection of her furniture and decoration obsessions in the new collection of the French brand. Very refined, her curation includes furniture combining comfort and aesthetics with assertive curves as well as elegant and functional decorative accessories.
- Available from September 11 to October 1 in all Maisons du Monde stores and on the maisonsdumonde.com website.
Axel Chay and Melissa Chay x Leboncoin
Leboncoin has collaborated with one of the most prominent design couples of the moment: Axel and Melissa Chay. The duo was tasked with imagining a “starter pack” of 18 essentials for a first apartment. A nod to Leboncoin’s anniversary, which is celebrating its 18th birthday this year. This pack is made up of second-hand objects and furniture and offers a creative and accessible layout for a budget of 2,000 euros. Axel and Melissa Chay were inspired by their own experience of moving into a small space to design four fun and inspiring layouts that combine aesthetics and functionality.
- The Axel and Melissa Chay starter pack will be available from September 6, 2024 on the leboncoin online store.
Vicki Murdoch x Monoprix
The decorative collaborations follow one another at Monoprix and each one is more desirable than the other. The latest one is by Scottish illustrator Vicki Murdoch and gives pride of place to strong prints, kitsch as we like it, inspired by nature. All of her drawings feature naturalist or animal motifs in vibrant colors. On the program? A whole line of tableware with chic details and household linen with unusual and regressive prints.
- Available in Monoprix stores from September 11.
