Halle Berry: This “enemy” food she banned to stay in shape at almost 60

At 58, Halle Berry has a dream figure. And to keep it, the actress follows a strict routine, the secrets of which she has revealed. Take notes!

As we age, it can be difficult to stay in shape. However, when we venture into Hollywood, it seems that this problem does not affect some stars. Demi Moore, Nicole Kidman, Heidi Klum… All these celebrities continue to go through the years with a dream body. To achieve this, they of course have their little tricks. While some keep them secret, others have no problem explaining how they keep their bodies in great shape. This is particularly the case for Halle Berry, 58 years old. On the cover of the latest issue of Marie Claire the interpreter of Cat woman confided her fitness routine without any taboos.

How Halle Berry Stays in Shape at 58

For Halle Berry, nutrition is central. Less than a desire to keep her slender figure, it is rather a question of life or death for the star. Indeed, she was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 20 after falling into a coma. Today, she has therefore completely banned the food that could cause her harm: “Sugar is the enemy. You couldn’t put anything sweet in front of me and pay me to eat it. That’s out of the question..” She also uses many vitamins and nutritional supplements and uses red light, hot and cold therapy.

Like many, the American actress also practices daily physical activity. She regularly changes sports, often depending on her always very physical roles. Something that has allowed her to discover multiple disciplines such as jiu jitsu, muay thai and taekwondo. I came into this feeling better and stronger than I did in my twenties. I feel like I’m at the top”, she stressed to the publication.

The star doesn’t care about her age

While many might think that Halle Berry is doing everything she can to not age, it’s quite the opposite. The actress fully embraces the passage of time. Age is just a number that is stuck on us at birth. As women, we are more defined by it than men and sometimes it can be debilitating.”, she explained before continuing: “It can trap us into thinking that we are supposed to do certain things. We have to reject that idea and say, ‘No, I’m going to do what makes me feel good as much as I can!’ And it will be what I want to do. I define it.” The fifty-year-old even finds advantages in growing old: “I always knew that I was more than my face or my body. So when that starts to fade, maybe for the first time in my life, people will focus on other aspects of me that I think are much more interesting.”.
