“I lost 10 kilos in 7 months thanks to this meat”
A 25-year-old Vietnamese woman managed to lose 10 kilos in 7 months without a restrictive diet, simply by reviewing her diet and favoring a certain type of meat.
To lose weight quickly and effectively, there is no miracle recipe. The secret lies in a combination of several factors: improving your lifestyle, practicing a sport regularly and adapting your diet. This is what Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huynh a 25-year-old Vietnamese woman who managed to lose 10 kilos in just 7 months. In an interview with VN Express Internationalrelayed by Top Healthshe explains how she managed to lose so many pounds in such a short time, without restrictive diets, without major deprivation and without slimming pills.
What meat should you eat to lose weight more easily?
“My weight gain affected my sleep, caused stomach ulcers, reflux and hair loss.”explains the young woman. So many symptoms that had the effect of an electroshock and that encouraged her to begin a weight loss process. Aware that to lose weight in the long term, she should not impose too many restrictions on herself, she chose not to follow a drastic diet. The only things she says she has drawn a line under: fast food, sweets and processed foods that are too significant a source of fat, sugar and unhealthy additives. She then began to exercise every week and to favor fresh and natural foods on her plates. She continued to include all food groups, including carbohydrates and lipids, favoring more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and one type of meat in particular: namely lean meats.
Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huynh bet on lean white meats such as chicken and turkey, to help her reach her goals. These meats are high in protein and low in fat, making them a great choice for promoting satiety without adding excess calories. Plus, white meats contain essential amino acids that help with muscle recovery after exercise, which is essential in a weight-loss program. She explains that she cooked them as healthily as possible by favoring cooking methods without adding unnecessary fats: steaming or boiling water. She accompanied her meats most of the time with green vegetables and whole grains.
Change your lifestyle
Along with this, she got into the habit of drink about two liters of water a day and going to bed early enough before 11 p.m. Two habits that may seem harmless, but which also help to lose weight. Drinking enough water throughout the day helps to maintain a good metabolism and eliminate toxins, while quality sleep is essential to regulate hunger and stress hormones and better control appetite. “Through my weight loss journey, I have learned that the purpose of my life is to feel better, be healthy and enjoy” rejoices the twenty-year-old.
On the sports side, she started practicing three to four times a week, emphasizing cardio activities to reduce fat mass and build muscle. By combining cardio exercises, such as running, swimming or cycling, with muscle strengthening exercises, we increase calorie expenditure while building muscle mass. This muscle mass helps burn more calories, even at rest, which accelerates the weight loss process. Exercising regularly is also one of the best ways to reduce bad cholesterol (LDL) and increase good cholesterol (HDL), to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.
