“It is not a teaching strike, it is a Truckers picket”

Yesterday I showed up punctually at 7 at a UBA headquarters to give my Tuesday class, which unfortunately I couldn’t do, because the gate was closed. A day before I had warned my students that the strike today and tomorrow was not about teaching, that it was carried out by unions aligned to the CGT, but we would have classes because someone would open the headquarters for us to guarantee our right to work, teach and learn. It was not the case.

So, this is not a strike, it is a picket. It is not a strike, it is a Truckers-style blockade. And the worst thing is that some individuals who have never set foot in a public university (like Mr. Moyano) claim the right to block us in the name of the public university, violating our right to work and teach those of us who are part of the public university.

In my case, the UBA is my alma mater: I entered the UBA at the age of 18 (at that time, in Marcelo T.), I graduated in Puan and then I did two postgraduate degrees, also in Puan. I am a true puaner. I currently work as an associate professor of Methodology at UBA – Economics.

Paradoxically, I studied my first years during the time of Alfonsín, who suffered countless teaching strikes. But I don’t remember missing a class. When there were strikes, the teachers invited us to take the class at a nearby bar.

I particularly remember a strike one day when I had French class. We were all crowded in the entrance hall. The teacher was very indignant, he said that in 20 years as a teacher something like this had never happened to him. And I remember that time because the old elevators were full of strange garbage, like empty boxes of broth.

At the new Buenos Aires Station Headquarters there are no bars around, so if they don’t open the gate for us, they are prohibiting us from having classes.

The Bases Law, Argentine Airlines and the senators

When I learned of the possibility of excluding the privatization of Aerolíneas Argentinas from the Base Law, I only managed to think of a new triumph of what the President calls caste.

This false patriotism of a significant number of senators only shows that they do not care about the dramatic economic situation of the country, to continue wasting 400 to 700 million dollars a year. Most countries in the region do not have flag airlines and have not lost dignity. The European Union made it a condition for the existence of flag airlines that they not be subsidized. It is impossible for Aerolíneas Argentinas to have a surplus under current conditions; it is a hunting ground to locate politicians and friends in an oversized structure. Employee working conditions are extremely beneficial, far above the average for regional airlines. The argument that it covers unprofitable routes that private companies are not interested in is a fallacy, since it would be enough to subsidize unsold seats on unprofitable routes for a period of 5 years.

Faced with this situation, there are no innocent or ignorant senators, they are irresponsible and unworthy of the position they occupy.

The question about Justice that we all ask ourselves

In all this mess that is our country, there is a question that we all ask ourselves, why does Justice take so long to make a ruling and when this occurs it normally leaves the vast majority dissatisfied, the comment immediately arises that the judge is corrupt.

Now, here we should apply the old popular saying, “it is not the pig’s fault but the one who feeds it.”

Although it is true that there are cases in which magistrates “draw up” the case, this happens because in most of the rules, we must reason who are the ones who “create” them. As long as the Nation continues to be governed by a system that encourages each norm to be debated and has a series of loopholes so that it benefits the offender, when each of us finds out that the penalty is too benign for an aberrant crime, which under the magnifying glass of common sense, justifies the low percentage of credibility and acceptance of society, because in most cases the psychological damage of the victims is not taken into account, even if in fact there were minors who saw the implicit violence that will last for long years or for life, if legislators were as quick to write a fair law as when they increase their diets we would live safer.

At least they could ask any child if they know when their pet when they think it is an adult, we all know that when they can have a baby, because for the “privileged”, they do not know when a human can conceive (adult).

The controversy continues over the increase in prepaid payments

On the issue of prepaid bills, the government forces the increases to be returned and blah blah blah. My prepaid employee told me that another increase is coming in July, but I won’t feel it as much because in 12 installments they will recognize me for what I paid ostentatiously.

Retirements: it makes the PRO uncomfortable and rekindles their internal discussions, and what about the retirees? Economic recovery, “the Government came out to show data”; real estate activity, industry, foreign trade and money in the pocket for whom. Putin’s threats and his miscalculations

Putin threatens a nuclear potential three times greater than that of Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

What he does not take into account in his threats is that to date the amount must be multiplied by thousands. If only one bomb was used, everything would happen in a matter of seconds that you won’t even have to think about before entering hell.

All possible simulations still result in everyone losing, there is no winner.
